The easiest way to get to Butchart Gardens is by booking a tour that includes admission and a bus tour from Victoria like this one: http://www.clippervacations.com/victoria/tours/clippercombo or this one http://www.clippervacations.com/victoria/tours/butchart_gardens_tour

Victoria is a highly walkable city and does not require a car to get around. There are many hotels that are close by the Victoria Clipper terminal that you can either walk to or take a quick cab ride to in order to drop off your luggage. If you select the Clipper Butchart Gardens Combo Tour, it will drop you off at your hotel at the end along with your luggage.

Hi Janet,

Victoria is located on Vancouver Island and is only accessible by boat or air. The fastest way to get to Seattle is aboard the Victoria Clipper ferry from Victoria to downtown Seattle. The trip takes less than 3 hours and it is a passenger only ferry, but many of Seattle’s attractions are in or around the downtown area and are easy to access without a car. There are many downtown hotel options available that will keep you closest to Pike Place Market, the Space Needles, Seattle Art Museum and the waterfront. We are thinking about going to B.C and Victoria. How far is Seattle from B.C (driving)? Is it worth the drive to go into Seattle?

We would like to take the Seattle to Vancouver trip, but it’s pasanger only. Do we need to rent a car once there to see the B.Garden lights? or to get to the hotel, etc?

Traveling from Seattle to Vancouver, Victoria and back to Seattle with Victoria Clipper was one of our best trips: the hotels were wonderful, traveling Amtrack along the coast from Seattle to Vancourver was entertaining, sightseeing in Vancourver and Victoria interesting, and then the clipper back to Seattle! The taxis were included. It was all very inexpensive, too. We went in spring 2010, and want to do it again.
