I have always thought that the Seattle Boat Show falls at the perfect time of year. The end of January when winter is at its peak and it feels like there is no end in sight, heading to the Boat Show is a great way to take your mind off of winter. I think that given the recent winter storm that hit the Pacific Northwest, spending a day thinking about a summer on the water sounds especially enticing!
This year, the Seattle Boat Show is running from January 27th through February 5th. The show will be at two different venues, the Century Link Field Event Center and South Lake Union where the Boats Afloat show is being held. Your admission is good for both shows and the organizers help make getting between each show convenient with a free shuttle that runs every 30 minutes.
Anything and everything pertaining to boats will be on display at the show. You will have the opportunity to look at and learn about boats ranging from kayaks to wakeboard boats all the way to yachts that are 50 feet plus. The Boat Show is also a great chance to check what’s new for the upcoming season. Vendors will be bringing the latest and greatest gear to the show giving you the chance to purchase new products before they are on the shelves. Also, many of the vendors have “Boat Show Specials” which can save lots of money. Along with the chance to check out all of the new products, the 2012 Seattle Boat Show will feature over 200 seminars on a variety of topics relating to boating and fishing. These seminars provide new insight into topics ranging from fishing techniques to new cruising destinations to circumnavigating the world by sailboat. Experts are providing all of the seminars free of charge with the price of admission.
